You can buy gift cards and e-gift cards to be used as part or full payment:

GIVE THE GIFT OF EXPERIENCE
Send an Experience Gift to a special someone inviting them to book one of our free in-store experiences. Our Experience Gifts include a gift card to add money to for your recipient to treat themselves to recommended products.
The posted Experience Gift arrives in a wrapped gift box with ribbon & gift tag for a personal message. We also have an e-gift option.
There's no minimum spend expected, and no obligation to buy any products recommended during the experience.
An invitation to book a free 90-minute in-store Home Design appointment, plus a gift card to spend on design recommendations and home products.
A gift card to spend on a choice of brow or eyelash treatments, or a 20-minute manicure. The remaining balance is available to spend on beauty products.
An invitation to book an in-store 'Before Baby Arrives' Nursery Advice Service, plus a gift card to spend on nursery and babywear products.
An invitation to book an in-store Personal Styling experience for men or women. This includes a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a gift card to spend on fashion.
Using your card(s) online, in shops or over the phone
When you checkout you’ll be asked to enter 2 codes for each gift card or e-gift card you wish to use. These are:
1. the 19-digit number found on the back of the gift card or included in your e-gift card email
2. the scratch-off PIN found on the back of the gift card or included in your e-gift card email
Gift card numbers
For multiple gift cards, enter one set of codes at a time.
After entering the gift card codes, your order balance will be automatically updated with credit to the value of the gift card(s).
If there’s any balance to pay, you can use a debit or credit card in the usual way.
If the total order value is less than the value of the gift card or e-gift card, any balance will remain on your account and can be applied to future purchases, provided that the card has not expired.
If you wish to use your remaining gift card balance at a later date, keep hold of your gift card or e-gift card email.
You can spend your gift card or e-gift card in any of our shops. You can show and use the downloaded e-gift card on your phone in John Lewis & Partners and Waitrose & Partners shops.
Gift cards and e-gift cards can be used for orders placed through our Customer Service centre on 0330 123 0350.
We will simply ask you at time of purchase for the gift card number and the PIN. For gift cards, the PIN is on the back of the gift card and is visible after removing the silver scratch panel.
Buying a gift card or Experience Gift card over the phone
Can I buy gift cards or e-gift cards for a business?
You can buy gift cards in any denomination up to £2,500, together with a card wallet and envelope for presentation. Recipients can shop online or at any John Lewis & Partners shop or Waitrose & Partners branch.
If you'd like to use our gift cards as a marketing or incentive tool, we can also help you with the supporting material.

You cannot use your gift card or e-gift card to purchase from any of the following:

You cannot use the gift card or e-gift card to discharge indebtedness in respect of an account card or credit card issued by John Lewis plc, Waitrose Limited or John Lewis Financial Services Limited, nor can you use it for the purchase either directly or indirectly of any financial product or service, including John Lewis Partnership gift vouchers.
Returning an item purchased with a gift card, e-gift card and Experience Gift
RETURNING ITEMS BOUGHT IN A SHOP WITH A GIFT CARD
For items bought in store with a gift card, return the item with proof of purchase to one of our shops and you’ll be given a gift card to the correct value.
RETURNING ITEMS BOUGHT ONLINE WITH A GIFT CARD
If you originally purchased the item online using a gift card, after your item has been returned, we will credit your www.retrievedmagnetic.com account to the relevant value. This will be visible in the My Account area after you log in and the funds will be available to use on your next online purchase.
Please note that if you did not have a www.retrievedmagnetic.com account when making your gift card purchase, in order to get a refund you'll need to set up an online account with us using the same address used to make the purchase. Register for an account here.
RETURNING ITEMS BOUGHT AS A PART OF AN EXPERIENCE GIFT
For items bought that were recommended as a part of an Experience Gift, you can return the item to one of our shops and you’ll be given a gift card to the correct value.

WHAT IS AN EXPERIENCE GIFT?
An Experience Gift pairs a gift card with one of our services to create a thoughtful, personalised gift. For example, choose our Style Experience and add a gift card to with anything from £10 to £500. Your recipient can then book a free, 2-hour Personal Styling session, with complimentary glass of prosecco, and redeem the gift card against their chosen purchases. There’s no obligation to buy anything recommended during the experience.
HOW MUCH DOES AN EXPERIENCE COST?
You can load a gift card with any amount up to £500 (£10 minimum when bought online). If you’d like to give more, you can purchase multiple cards. Our Experience Gift cards can be redeemed in any of our shops that provide the free services, and you can check which shops offer a service before buying:
HOW DO I BOOK AN EXPERIENCE AND WILL IT EXPIRE?
You can book an experience online or in store, and each Experience Gift contains details on how to book. Our gift cards expire after 24 months from purchase or last transaction. You can book your experience at any time, though our services will be subject to availability.
DOES MY RECIPIENT HAVE TO GO ON THE EXPERIENCE?
Experience Gift cards can be redeemed in the same way as normal gift cards, and can be used to pay for products and services in our shops. If your recipient chooses not to book a service, they can redeem their gift card on any alternative products.

John Lewis Partnership gift vouchers
John Lewis Partnership gift vouchers are no longer available to buy unless you're buying them as part of a Gift List. As an alternative to gift vouchers, you can purchase gift cards online or in our shops.
We're still issuing vouchers as rewards on our Partnership Card programme, and you can still use them online and in our shops.
How to use gift vouchers
Shop as usual on the website and then proceed to checkout. During checkout you'll be asked to enter two codes for each voucher you wish to spend. These are:
• the 10-digit serial number on the bottom right of the voucher
• the 7-character online security code underneath the scratch-off panel
• for multiple gift vouchers, enter one set of voucher codes at a time
After entering in the gift voucher codes, your order will be automatically updated with credit to the value of the voucher(s). If there's any balance to pay, you can use a debit or credit card in the usual way.
Gift vouchers have no expiry date; please note this is different to our gift cards which expire after 2 years.
Gift vouchers can only be used once, and they cannot be used in our shops once the holographic panel has been scratched off. If your gift vouchers are accidentally damaged, contact our Customer Services team.
Gift voucher exclusions
CAN I USE MY JOHN LEWIS VOUCHERS FOR ALL GOODS?
You can exchange John Lewis Partnership gift vouchers for goods in all John Lewis & Partners and Waitrose & Partners shops, and use them to purchase online or over the phone at www.retrievedmagnetic.com. You may not use gift vouchers for John Lewis Home Solutions, magazine subscriptions, gift cards, photo printing or software downloads on www.retrievedmagnetic.com.
WHAT IF MY GIFT VOUCHER IS DAMAGED?
Once you have scratched off the panel, the gift voucher cannot be redeemed in any of our shops. If the security code has already been used when shopping online or over the telephone at www.retrievedmagnetic.com, the voucher will be void. If your gift vouchers become accidentally damaged, please contact Customer Services on 0330 123 0350.
Help with my gift voucher(s)
My gift voucher isn’t being accepted. What do I do?
If you find that your voucher is not accepted at checkout, check the serial number and online security code you've entered and try again. If you continue to experience any further difficulties, email our Customer Services team, or call us on 03456 049 049 7am - 11pm, 7 days a week.
Can I exchange my gift vouchers for cash?
No, you can’t exchange gift vouchers for cash.
Will my gift voucher expire?
There's no expiry date on our gift vouchers, but there is on gift cards see full terms and conditions.
CAN JOHN LEWIS VOUCHERS BE USED IN WAITROSE & PARTNERS?
Yes, you can pay by John Lewis Partnership vouchers in Waitrose & Partners shops.
Coupons, discounts and promotional discount codes offered by www.retrievedmagnetic.com are valid only for use as part of a purchase made via www.retrievedmagnetic.com, unless otherwise stated. Such promotional discounts are not valid for use as part of a purchase in John Lewis & Partners shops, or for phone orders.
